Seven Staple Summer Shoes

7 summer shoes (1 of 1).jpg

Summer is right around the corner, and there are so many new shoes I have been buying and will share soon, but wanted to share the staple shoes I pull out every year so  here they are!!

I have linked every pair below, so  click on the image or the description to shop each pair!

These Steve Madden light pink heels I’m wearing in a size 6.5 and they fit perfect! The heel is just the right height to wear all day and not have blistered feet, they are on sale at nordstrom rack now too!!

I know everyone has their thoughts on birkenstocks, but I have worn them since I was a little girl and I absolutely love every pair I own. I picked these up last year before I went to rome and they were the only pair of shoes that didn’t blister my feet while walking 20+ miles a day. I have linked the non-leather pair since they are in stores and a little cheaper, but I own the leather pair and ordered them off amazon! I always wear a size 37 and they fit me true to size, I normally wear a 6-6.5 in shoes which correlates to a 37!

These are one of my favorite pairs of work mules, because they are light pink in person and add a cute but professional look to any outfit! I had to size up a whole size for these to fit, so    I ordered a size 7.5 and they fit great! I would suggest these to anyone who is looking for a new pair of shoes for work, because they are so  classic!

I always tend to have one pair of booties that I wear in the summer on cool nights and these are a pair I picked up on the nordstrom sale and am so  glad I did because I’ve worn them 10+ times! The color above is not realistic, they are much lighter in person which I really like. I ordered size 6.5 and they fit perfect and come in black too if tan isn’t your color! They are so  comfortable and I think they are unique due to the side slit that makes them more appropriate for the summer!!

As you can see above, I have worn these shoes so much and they are so worn in! I’m planning on buying an identical pair this summer to replace this pair, but to give some reference I’ve had them since my freshman year of college so  they are 5 years old now, and i have worn them ever summer so they last! I love all jack rodgers shoes, but this pair is one of my favorites since they have a fun glitter edge that most other pairs don’t have! I had to size up to a 7 in these and they fit perfect.

This pair of mules are one of my favorite to wear to work during warmer months because they are SO  SO  SO  comfortable!!! The grey pair I have pictured above are currently sold out, but I have linked the black pair and they also come in pink, blue and yellow! I’ll be sure to let you know if they grey pair comes back in stock!!

These shoes were a hit last year and now they are back again! I own the Marc Fisher pair and these dupes, and actually like the fit of the dupes better so I wear them more. I am wearing a size 6 in this pair and they are my most comfortable pair of wedges I own! They now come in several colors but I love this classic color to wear over and over again.

I’d love for you to share your favorite summer shoes in the comments below!

one jumper, two ways!

filtered striped romper (1 of 1).jpg

If you haven’t noticed, Vignette Brentwood is one of my favorite places to shop! Out of all the items i have, this jumper is my favorite by far, I’ve already worn it 3+ times and every time was a different way. This post felt needed to me since I think its easy to look at a piece like this and think you could just wear it by itself and that’s it, but truth is, jumpers are the most versatile items in my closet!

Top: Loft Graphic Tee Jumper: Vignette Brentwood Shoes: Marc Fisher Wedges

For the first look, I added a cute graphic tee from the loft that I purchased last year, but I linked some other options I think would be just as cute! I front knotted this tee to make the top look cropped which makes my legs look longer, I always try to do that since they are the shortest part of my body! This is such a simple way to change up a jumper and depending on the top, can make them look like regular pants!

I wore the same Marc Fisher wedges in both outfits to show that just a simple top difference can make the outfit look completely new! These are my go-to wedges during spring/summer and are an investment but have held up great for a year and I believe they will last me a couple more summer seasons!

Jacket: Hudson Cropped Jean Jacket Jumper: Vignette Brentwood Shoes: Marc Fisher Wedges Bag: Louis Vuitton Neverfull Tote

I chose to add this classic denim jacket for the second look to let you see the front of the jumper. I’m wearing my normal size M in this jacket and since its cropped, it hits me perfectly at my waist. If your looking for an oversized fit, I would suggest sizing up, but I wanted a fitted jacket so  I ordered my normal size.

Looking at the front of the jumper, you can see it has buttons the whole way up which are real buttons, so you could easily add a cute bralette underneath and open a couple of them! I’m wearing my regular size M in this jumper and it fits perfect! It is a little baggy in the butt/back area, but I like the looser fit in this since its a light-weight fabric it moves a little.

I added my LV tote to this look since I was running out for errands later and needed to carry a bunch of stuff! When picking mine out, I got the largest size, so  it would  fit my 15″ laptop and other items and chose the hot pink interior. I can’t say good enough things about this bag, but I think every girl already knows this bag is a winner!

To grab this romper head on into Vignette Brentwood! I’ll leave their address below and a link to their website!

Top: Vignette Brentwood Pants: Vignette Brentwood Purse: Marley Lilly Crossbody  Shoes: Steve Madden Wedges

Hey ya’ll, I’m so excited to be sharing this whole outfit with you from Vignette Brentwood! If you are local, I added their address below with a link to their website, so    be sure to stop by and grab these goodies!

I am most excited to share these pants with ya’ll because I think they are so  versitle for the spring/summer/fall months and will carry you through the upcoming months! I styled them casual here, but will be showing ya’ll a way to wear these to work soon. While I am showing off the high split in these photos, I really  had to move the fabric over to the side to show off the split, don’t be worried that they will constantly be showing this much skin, because they really don’t open this far unless you want them too! For sizing, I am wearing a size M and say they run true to size. They are very high waisted, and come above my belly button, but since I am on the shorter side, I think they would hit most people right at their belly button. The length is right at my ankles which I love for work, but if you are taller they would probably be more of a cropped length which I also think would look super cute!

This top is also adorable and is a perfect summer top that can be worn multiple ways. I front knotted it here to show off the high waisted pants, but its flowy enough to front tuck or wear loose if you don’t want it to be this short. I am also wearing a size M and probably could’ve sized down but like the loose fit. If your between sizes, I would say to size down.

Lets talk about accessories! I love this Marley Lilly clutch I got for my birthday from my best friend and use it all the time in the summer since it has the cute orange lettering. I’m using it as a clutch for this look, but it comes with a gold chain which transitions it into a cross body!

For shoes, I chose these Marc Fisher look a like wedges that are by Steve Madden and love them since they are comfortable and look just like the March Fisher pair! I’m sure you’ll be seeing me in these all summer long, and hope you will love them just as much as I do. I sized down in these and am wearing a size 6 and they fit perfect!

Floral Prints for Spring

Here’s to my first sponsored post with Vignette Brentwood! I have seen so  much love on insta for all the Vignette pieces I’ve recently been wearing and I’m beyond excited to write my first blog post featuring one of their cutest spring arrivals, this floral print wrap skirt!

Spring is one of the few times of the year I wear floral patterns, in preparation for all the bright colors to wear come summer! I specifically love this skirt because it is flattering on all shapes. I definitely have an athletic build with wider hips and have such a hard time finding wrap skirts that don’t emphasize my wide hips, but this one hits in all the right places!! I would recommend all of my tall girls to size up if you are interested in this skirt because I am 5’3″ and am wearing a size M and the wrap section is on the shorter side for me! The back is completely appropriate though, which is hard to find in this style; and how could I forget, the quality! This skirt is double lined, no worries about being see-through, and has a double button closure and a wrap tie to take all your hesitations away from wrap skirts popping open, which yes has happened to me before . . haha!

To style the skirt, I added my favorite white Topshop cami (wearing size 6), the cutest cropped denim jacket from Abrecrombie & Fitch, my go too nude summer heel (wearing normal size 6.5) and these adorable earrings I received from Lisi Lerch!

To shop this skirt, head over to Vignette Brentwood!

3 ways to style SPANX leggings

I’ve received so many questions on these faux leather Spanx leggings and I’m beyond excited to share this post with you! I’ll start off by saying these are definitely an investment for being leggings, but are soooo worth it! I’ve had this exact pair for 2+ years now and they look just as good as they did when I first bought them. I now have another pair of this style, the faux leather moto leggings, which are also amazing. I wanted to style the Spanx leggings 3 different ways for ya’ll to see how you CAN wear these to work, date night and for running errands!

Sweater: Loft Ribbed Sweater Leggings: Spanx Faux Leather Leggings Boots: Tory Burch Coat: Banana Republic Pink Bow Coat

The first way I’ve styled these are for a night out. I actually wore this exact outfit to the Grand Ole Opry when I went last weekend with my mom and felt incredibly comfortable and stylish. To break the outfit down, I wore my favorite pink coat from Banana Republic (wearing size M, but should’ve bought a S), an oversized sweater from the Loft (wearing size M and it covers my booty in the back), my Spanx faux leather leggings in size M (size up they run small) and my favorite flat over-the-knee Tory Burch boots (wearing my normal size 6.5). What I love about incorporating the Spanx faux leather leggings into this look is that they add a bit of shimmer to the outfit and make it look a little bit more put together instead of just wearing jeans. Also, they are BEYOND comfortable and suck you in everywhere which is always a plus!

Tunic: Lush Tunic Sweater Vest: Grey Sweater Vest Leggings: Spanx Faux Leather Leggings Shoes: Kristin Cavallari Mules Bag: Kate Spade Tote

Next, I styled a work-wear outfit since I have had many ask if the leggings are appropriate for business casual offices, which I respond: YES!! My full time job requires business casual attire and I have worn these leggings over and over to the office and keep getting complements! In this look, I styled the faux leather Spanx leggings with the tunic of the season, the Lush tunic (wearing size S, runs big). This top is great for so many reasons, but I especially love it for days when I want to wear legging-material pants since it covers my booty in the back. It is a little shear so I normally wear a tan cami underneath when I go into the office. I love adding a “third” piece to my work wear outfits, so here I added a grey sweater vest I picked up in November (wearing size S). For accessories, I added my black Kate Spade tote that I normally use for work when I have meetings since it holds so much inside but still looks fashionable. To top the outfit off, I paired these adorable pink mules that are so comfortable (wearing size 7.5 size up one whole size). You should know by now that I try to add a bit of pink to every outfit!

Hoodie: Aerie City Hoodie Leggings: Spanx Faux Leather Leggings Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor Bag: Kate Spade Crossbody

Now for my favorite outfit! I wanted to create a casual look with the faux leather Spanx leggings to show you that they can also be worn for a quick shopping trip! I paired the Spanx leggings with my favorite hoodie from Aerie (wearing size M for oversized fit). This hoodie is so versatile and is perfect for a cozy day bundled up at home and easily transitions to running errands. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve worn this . . . . haha! I paired my converse with this outfit to add a little bit of style with sneakers (wearing kids size 4). Whenever I’m running out for errands I don’t like carrying my larger purses so I usually reach for this Kate Spade cross body so I don’t have to worry about setting my purse down somewhere and loosing it! I actually wore this outfit for a quick flea market trip to find some home décor and was amazed that my feet weren’t sore after walking for what seemed like hours around the Nashville Flea Market.

I hope this post has inspired you to create new looks with Spanx faux leather leggings! DM me any outfits you’ve styled with them and I’ll be sure!!

Blue & White Stripes for Spring

03.jpg0105.jpg04.jpg02.jpg06.jpgTop: B.P. Striped Button Up  Jeans: Levis 721 High Rise Distressed Jeans Shoes: Steve Madden Carrson Heels

I’m a sucker for blue and white stripes all year long, but I love bringing them back out during spring months in preparation for summer! I’m beyond excited that the weather in Nashville has been above 20 degrees the past week and we finally have sunshine after weeks of rain. . . . . nothing gets me ready for spring more than sunshine and warm weather!

This outfit is too darn cute for spring and will transition great into summer with cut off shorts and wedges! I styled this B.P. striped button up with my favorite white jeans by Levi’s, which if you don’t own a pair and are looking for jeans, but these! I can’t say enough good things about all my Levi jeans, they are the perfect fit. My shoes are my favorite nude heels from Steve Madden and also come in wide if you need that!

I’m wearing my true size in the whole outfit, and everything fits perfect. Having a large chest, I was worried about the B.P. top fitting well, and it buttoned fine and had no pulling, and plenty of space/length to wear as a cover up on my upcoming beach trip! If you don’t have a larger chest, I’d recommend sizing down one size, because it fits me perfect, and I usually have to size up in button up tops!

Leave a comment below with your favorite item to wear in spring, and be sure to send me an email if you have any questions!

Who I’m Crushing on this Valentines

Sweater: Lauren Ralph Lauren Cowl Neck Jeans: Lucky Brand Skinny Jeans Jacket: Banana Republic Wrap Wool Coat Boots: Frye Riding Boots

Let’s be honest, I’ve been crushing on the same man for 5 years now, and will for the rest of my life!! I think Valentines Day is such a fun time of the year to ramp up the spark that sometimes is lost in every day-to-day interactions with one another from work and school. I personally enjoy getting to love a little extra on my man and don’t mind the extra kisses myself!

To give a little history on our relationship, Nathan & I met freshman year of college at the first football game of the year. We were both established in our fraternities and sororities and I was checking out every spot I could to see where my crowd was going to be! We were actually introduced by my roommate at the time, who had know Nathan all of high-school, and I slowly found  out that my new group of friends in college were all old friends of Nathan; this world is too small after all!

After our first date, which was Chick-fi-la, I mean clearly we knew we were destined for life from there, it felt like we became a couple who not only loved each other, but wanted to better each other. I give Nathan a ton of credit for helping me achieve everything I did in school. He was my rock when architecture professors were grilling me for countless hours, and I know I wouldn’t be the person I am today without him by my side.

Not only do I hope you have a loved one who betters you, but I hope you love on them a little extra today! Today, pick up the extra socks and undies your man left around the house, and step outside your comfort zone to tell him/her how much you love them; not because they don’t know it, but because everyone loves an extra bit of love.

Happy Valentines Day !!

Bento Box

mmlafluer4 (1 of 1)

Ya’ll know I love a good delivery, and what better than work clothes delivered to your door? Seriously though, I don’t know about ya’ll, but trying on work clothes can be such a painful task, especially the black pant. It’s literally like a horror movie for me. I can’t tell you how many pairs of pants I tried on before starting my job back in September before finding one pair (you should all know what that is by now since they are in every one of my workwear posts haha) that I immediately bought two of in every color! Well after that dramatic intro, I’m here to say that my mind is forever changed!!!

bento box

Here’s the deal, you sign up online with a cute little survey that you’ve probably done once or twice, but the difference with this service is that they actually listen to your body type. I was asked multiple questions on my sizing from different stores which let them pick styles that fit me better than any luck I’ve ever found in store! I found 7/7 pieces for work that I felt I couldn’t live without, which never happens because I’m so picky. I felt like every piece had a classic style with a modern twist to create an effortless look!

First of all, I feel like I have to give major props to the design team at MMLaFluer for always creating chic timeless items that can be worn so many ways. When I started my job, I search the web for silly articles like “What to wear in the business professional world as a women” because I really had no idea what was acceptable and what was over the top. I wanted to still be myself but not wear the boring styles I was seeing in every in store experience I had. I stumbled across MMLaFluer’s website and was instantly pulled in by their classic dress styles and cuts, the chic patterns that looked so effortless, and the fit of all the suits. I knew I was hooked then, and am so happy to finally be doing a review on their Bento Box. This service is the best of both worlds, online shopping & personal stylist. Unlike other boxes, this is a one time deal, unless you want more, which is totally me, and comes with seven items you and your stylist discuss for your work needs. You can send recommendations from their online website, and mention your style. For reference, I told my stylist that I really don’t wear suit jackets or pencil skirts to work and was looking for new slacks,  so she sent me two pairs of black pants in different styles and some fun tops, dresses, sweaters and even a coat (since its still chilly in Nashville).

To break this down for you, I want to go piece by piece to show you how great MMLaFluer’s new service is and why you should sign up today if you work in the business professional world! If you’d like to purchase a specific item feel free to click on the photos to shop that look. I left a link at the bottom if you’re interested in signing up for the Bento Box, so keep reading!

Coat: Bianca Coat Shoes: Marc Fisher Zala Pump

Kicking the outfits off is this hourglass shaped boucle coat that I’m wearing in a size 8. If you watched my stories, you know that I was beyond obsessed with this coat as soon as I slipped it on! Not only is the coat heavy enough for TN weather, but light enough to wear when its still freezing in April; and did I mention the fit? I’ve never had a jacket hug my waist so well; I have the hardest time finding coats that don’t look too bulky when they are durable for winter weather, and I can’t wait to wear this now and next fall! Being 5’3″ I was worried the jacket would be too long, but I love that it hits mid calf on me because I can easily dress it up or down depending on the occasion.

Dress: Cindy Dress Shoes: Marc Fisher Zala Pump

Next up is this pretty brick red dress I styled under the coat, and think they would create a perfect office outfit! The best feature about this dress is the neckline; it has a deep boat-neck cut, but still has large enough straps to wear a normal bra! This dress brings an effortlessly chic look that would pair well with anything. Since the dress is fully lined, you don’t need to worry about it showing too much, and lays perfectly on the skin!

Top: Deneuve Top Pants: Foster Pant Shoes: Marc Fisher Zala Pump

My next outfit consisted of this faux wrap top and cigarette pant. This top was one of my favorite item I received in my Bento Box because of its versatility with other pieces. I’m wearing a size M in this top, and it fits like a dream and is the softest material. Since it is more of a cropped top, it would pair perfectly with skirts and you wouldn’t need to worry about tucking. Having a larger chest, I usually have a hard time with wrap tops and them not pulling apart throughout the day, so I loved that this looks just like a normal wrap top but is a faux; no more worrying during your work day! Another reason I love this top so much is because it could easily be worn with jeans and a light sweater if your work is slightly more casual, or if you want to wear it out on the weekends!

The pants I have paired with this top are the machine washable cigarette pant from MM.LaFleur and have the best consistency of stretch and structure without looking like a legging pant. If you are looking for comfort while at work, these should be your go to work pant! I’m wearing a size 8 in these as well, and they fit perfect at the waist hips and legs due to the stretch. While I do have them paired with this top here, I felt that since they were more of a stretch pant, I would prefer to have a longer top on which I did in the next outfit and soon fell for this cigarette pant!

Top: Didion Top Pants: Foster Pant Shoes: Marc Fisher Zala Pump

This next outfit is clearly my favorite because 1. it is all black, 2. the beauty is in the details. I fell for this top while shopping on MM.Lafleur’s website and requested it in my box from my stylist and was even more impressed when trying it on! I’m wearing a size 8 in the top and should size down to a 6, but I liked it so much I didn’t want to send it back! I find my favorite tops to have V necks since they elongate my shorter frame and this neckline paired with the adorable hem is what makes this shirt a staple fashion piece in my wardrobe. Since it has side splits, the fabric doesn’t pull to one side vs. another and drapes elegantly to create a flattering figure. If there is one item I would recommend for every body type and style, it would definitely be this top! I’m wearing the same cigarette pants in this outfit and really loved them once adding a longer top!

Sweater: Daphne Sweater Top: Didion Top Pants: Foster Pant Shoes: Marc Fisher Zala Pump

I added this cashmere wrap sweater over my last outfit since its always a little chilly in my office and I enjoy wearing a sweater indoors even when its warm outside. I’m wearing a size XS/S in this sweater and love the fit. It’s loose enough to wrap and tie, but also looks great open as a cardigan and tied in the back! This will easily be a staple sweater in my closet since it’s light enough for warm days but keeps me nice and toasty on the cooler days. I love a sweater that can be worn different ways to keep my look fresh!

Top: Didion Top Pant: Chester Pant Shoes: Marc Fisher Zala Pump

Last but definitely not least are these trousers that fit like a dream! I am wearing a size 8 and think the overall fit is exactly what I look for in a work pant. They are slim throughout the legs which helps lengthen my legs and are a high rise on myself but would mostly likely be a mid rise on taller people. The pants are fully lined so they stay cool throughout the day and drape very well. I was so impressed with the fit of these pants and wish I would’ve purchased this pant before I went on the “find the perfect work pant” adventure last September which felt like a never ending process. If you haven’t found a favorite black trouser yet, I would highly recommend purchasing this pair because they would pair well with any top due to the rise of the pant and the slim fit!

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my Bento Box reveal and if you’re interested in signing up for your own click here!

The overall process was so easy and I found so  many items that work perfect for my business casual office that make me feel fashionable while still being professional. As a reminder, this box is not a subscription service, but a one time box until you’d like to refresh your wardrobe again! I would definitely recommend this as a great option when starting a new job or as a wardrobe refresh to get some new stylish options into your weekly outfits.

Styling a Jumpsuit for work!

blacknpinkworkwear filtered2 (1 of 1).jpg

Jumpsuit: A&F Wrap Jumpsuit Cardigan: Kent Cardigan Handbag: Dayseye Mia Drawstring Handbag Shoes: Franco Sarto Vixen

Hey ya’ll! Hope your having another great Wednesday! For this week’s #workwearwednesday, I wanted to create a look that could easily be transformed from your work day to a night out, and knew this jumper would be the perfect item!

I picked this jumpsuit up at Abercrombie & Fitch, yes you heard that right, the place we all shopped when we were kids is now a hot spot again! They have 50% off site wide pretty often so I grabbed some fun summer pieces like this jumpsuit and couldn’t wait to share it! I am wearing a M petite and wish I would’ve ordered the regular M because the length through the torso is just a tad short, but it still looks really cute! This jumpsuit is so unique to me because it has a higher neckline than most wrap jumpsuits, which means is completely appropriate for the work place. I also love that it has a snap closure in the front so you don’t have to worry about it falling open, perfect for all my larger chested ladies out there like me!

This sweater is something I’ve been wearing on repeat lately because its still so chilly in Nashville, and keeps me warm without overheating! I ordered it online through Madewell after finding it on sale! I had to size down in this sweater to a S and wish they would’ve had an XS available when I ordered because it’s still huge! I have searched high and low for a great pink cardigan and was finally pleased after ordering this one and think it will be a staple item in my wardrobe, I’m sure I’ll be ordering the grey next!

If you’ve been following along on my stories, you’ve seen me show off this Dayseye handbag multiple times and absolutely love it for a cute bag in and out of the office! This is one of the items I would keep throughout the night because it’s so versatile and really makes the outfit pull together! If you’re interested in this item, I’d be sure to head over to her website because they only carry a few colors in each style! The quality is amazing and I love how many different ways you can wear it since the straps can move around the drawstring bag!!

I have been waiting to share these Franco Sarto Vixen heels with you until I found the perfect outfit and I couldn’t think of a more appropriate one for a cute pink heel! I bought these last week and was actually able to order them in a wide so the pointed toe fits my small wide foot perfectly. I ordered my size 6 wide and they fit like a dream!! The heel height is just right and you don’t have to worry about being uncomfortable because the sole is highly cushioned. I would highly recommend these for work and play!!

Here’s the fun part! Wear this outfit to work, and then slide off that pink cardigan for a fun date night or dinner with some friends! This jumpsuit makes any outfit so versatile and all the pink accessories make the outfit pop!

Opal House @ Target

Well I’m sure you’ve seen or heard of the opal house collection that just went live at Target today and everyone is pretty pumped. I stopped by my local target to pick up some items I really wanted after seeing the early release online, but was disappointed to find that they didn’t have any of the items I was looking for! I figured this would be a great spot for myself and all my followers to purchase the items we can’t live without, since they probably will sell out in stores before any of us can get our hands on them!!

Before grabbing any and everything, I did get to see some of the pillows, dinning wear and bedding from the collection and want to warn you that even while the prints and patterns look just like Anthropolgie, the quality is definitely not the same. For starters, the fabrics are very durable, which is great for families with kids, but means they aren’t very soft. I was really excited about the pom throws and was saddened to find the fabric felt like burlap, definitely something I didn’t want to cozy up on the couch with. The pillow fabric was mostly the same for the patterns in my store, but I’m hoping the ones I wanted will be on the softer side! Also, all the dinner wear is plastic, which is great for outdoor dinners in the summer, but I was really hoping they also had regular glass items. The furniture is something I definitely wouldn’t buy; I was hoping to grab a side table for our living room but opened the drawer of a cute one and realized it wasn’t real wood and felt like it’d fall apart very quickly and it was still $120! Overall I think there are some great items from the collection and some pieces that just fall flat. It’s a great comparison to Anthro vibes without the crazy price tags, and has some really cute items that can easily get your house ready for summer!!

Click on any of the links/photos below to shop the items I’m grabbing online!

These are the items I picked up in store:

Melamine Dinner Plate 10.5″ Pink/Red Ikat

Melamine Salad Plate 8.4″ Pink/Blue Medallion

Plastic Tumbler 16 oz

Carved Wood Single Image Frame 5×7

What I’m ordering!

Also get ready for the Target Hunter collection, it’s coming out soon!!

I can’t wait to get these items in, but in the meantime, if you’ve shopped the collection I’d love to see how you styled them in your home! Please tag me, hashtag #thekraushouse in your post or send them to me via email/dm on instagram!! I hope to see lots of cute home decor inspiration!!

How to style a basic white tee for work!

Spring is slowly coming around in Nashville, TN because it’s April and let me tell ya there is plenty of April Showers! I was ecstatic to have a quick moment to take these pictures while it wasn’t raining; I am beyond ready for sunny weekends outside!!

Tee: BP Raw Edge Tee Skirt: River Islands Wrap Skirt Shoes: Steve Madden Sandals Scarf: Old Navy Version / H&M Version

I wanted to create a workwear post that included an item we all have in our closet . . . . a simple white tee shirt! I love this one I bought during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale last summer for $17 from BP in a size M, and have worn this tee over and over. It’s the best white tee shirt I have ever purchased! I’m blown away this tee is still in stock, since it went in and out of stock at least 5 times over the summer and I’m sure will be sold out soon for the upcoming warmer months; Grab it while you can!!

This skirt really makes the outfit look appropriate for business casual offices, and is probably more on the casual side, but if your office is like mine, we keep it real real casual on Friday’s! I love this skirt because it’s flattering with the illusion of a wrap skirt when really it just zips in the back. I’m wearing my normal size 6 in this skirt and wish I would’ve purchased the petite or went down a size because it is a little loose, but I still love it. I think this faux wrap skirt is adorable and can be worn so many ways and through all seasons!

You’ve seen me post about these shoes in the past, and clearly they are a staple item for work in my closet! They are only 2″ high which I appreciate for days that I’m running around the office or out on the job site. I also love the dark grey color because they don’t stain as easily from grass! I’m wearing my normal size 6.5 in these and for $38 they are a dream to wear!

The item that really pulls this outfit together is this scarf! I couldn’t find my exact scarf, but linked two below that I think are just as cute and much cheaper than mine. It’s actually a regular scarf that I tied together to create the look of an infinity scarf. When I wear scarves to work, I don’t like readjusting them thoughout the day, so  I tend to wear infinity scarves to eliminate that problem! This print is super cute for spring and summer and can even be worn as a belt, which I actually did for the last wedding I went too!

I hope the warmer weather heads towards TN so  I can keep creating some fun work posts to inspire your daily workwear! Click the links below or above to shop this look, also please tag me or send me a dm with your #WorkWearWednesday outfits, I’d love to share!!
